Closed session: Review of  2010 action statements:

  1. CAHCLS will redefine the relationship with CPHLN over the course of the next year by communicating with the co-chair of CPHLN

  2. CAHCLS to address validation of RNA quantitative viral load as a supplementary assay as part of the confirmatory process:
         1) feasibility of a group validation
         2) generation of guideline/generic model for its use. 
    A working group co-chaired by Drs. John Kim and Todd Hatchette will be set up to examine the application and interpretation of the RNA quantitative viral load.
    CAHCLS will encourage manufacturers of the quantitative RNA PCR to submit application use of the assay as a supplementary test

  3. CAHCLS executives will make a formal request to members to provide annual EIA and Western Blot volumes of kits which can then be provided to innogenetics to assess feasibility of introducing the test as a diagnostics test

  4. Develop CAHCLS Terms of Reference that addresses ethics as well as relationship with government and industries
